“Moving to Sustainable Agriculture – how can biotechnology help?”
We will discuss a broad range of biotechnological applications, such as classical gene technology, genome editing, genetic control including gene drives, RNAi, biologicals, and synthetic biology. We also anticipate presentations on risk communication, open data, integrated pest management, and agroecology.
Several well known speakers have been invited to ensure that topics of high relevance and common interest are well covered. All participants are encouraged to submit abstracts for talks and posters that fit to the listed topics. In particular, students are welcome to present.
The meeting will start on Wednesday, 28 September in the morning and will end on Friday, 30 September after lunch. A welcome reception is planned for Tuesday, 27 September in the evening.
