Conference hosts and venue

The conference will be co-organized by IOBC-WPRS, Federal Office of Consumer Protection and Food Safety (BVL), Julius Kühn Institut (JKI), and German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR).

Venue of the meeting is the BfR campus in Berlin, Marienfelde (Diedersdorfer Weg 1, 12277 Berlin). Travel instructions can be found -> here.

We plan for an in-person meeting, but we will also provide an online option for attendants that cannot travel to Berlin.

Abstract submission

We encourage participants to apply for oral and poster presentation. Abstracts can be submitted after registration. The conference language will be English.

Abstracts (max. 350 words) must be submitted online until 31 July 2022. Only abstracts submitted by registered participants will be considered.


Conference proceedings

Each presenting attendant is encouraged to publish an extended abstract or a short paper in the meeting proceedings (IOBC-WPRS Bulletin). Submissions are accepted until 30 October 2022. Please follow the guidelines when preparing your submission and send your manuscripts to michael.meissle@agroscope.admin.ch.


Travel Grants

A limited number of presenting students from the WPRS region can be supported financially. We will waive registration costs and cover parts of the travel cost. If you are interested, please contact us for further details.

Applications should include
  1. Title and abstract of the planned presentation (max. 350 words)
  2. Short biographical sketch and description of scientific interests and goals (max. 1 page)
  3. Verification of your student status (e.g. confirmation letter of supervisor or university student card)

Accomodation

Each participant is responsible for accommodation booking. Berlin is always a busy city with many events, so we recommend to book accommodation early.
